hey guys. im in planning of setting up a second tank.
i want to base it around plecos, and for it to be very low power usage as my power bill is already too high!
i have a longfin albino and an L270 choco zebra plec i will move to the new tank, and would like to add another 2-3 plecs. probably something like a peppermint, clown, vampire. (cheaper L numbers)
what size tank would be appropriate for this? or would it even work? i dont want another large tank so i was hoping to do this in a tank only around 3 feet long.
for filter, i have an eheim air pump which only draws 3w and was hoping to just use this with a large sponge filter. would it be enough?
plan is just the plecs and a school of 6-10 rasboras or tetras.
im thinking just hardscaped with sand and driftwood. and using an led light for night time, natural light throughout the day (will be next to a window)

Why not set it up as a catfish breeding tank? That would look cool, and also be rewarding at the same time

Remember different plecs require different diets .
Choose wisely if you want a mixture.
Highly recommend single species tank.

haha not as cheap as the others but a lfs has em for $220au. by the cheaper ones i mean im not gonna go spend 500-800 on a zebra plec
