February Meeting

• Oliver aka Mr_docfish will be giving us all a presentation on common aquarium fish diseases – how to identify them, how to treat them and most importantly, how to avoid them. They’ll be useful information for all fishkeepers that will help to improve your fish husbandry skills so make sure you don’t miss this one.
• We’ll also be drawing the winner of the Sponsor Stimulus competition. Entrants are in the running to win their choice of a full CO₂ kit, including bottle or a $350 voucher to the premium sponsor of their choice. Make sure you turn up with your receipts to claim your prize.
• As usual the show table will be running. Participation in this competition has gone through the roof lately so if you need to use one of the PCS loan tanks, make sure to book it with choombies sooner rather than later.
• The raffle table and members prize will also be on. A change in procedure for the members prize – you will receive your ticket only when you sign the attendance sheet at the front door from Riggertron (Nick). Raffle tickets as always are available in the half-time break - $1 each or 6 for $5.
• Kitchen and BBQ will be on again, so plenty of refreshments available to keep you going through the night. We are now asking people to please stay out of the kitchen. It’s a small area and with a lot more people at meetings, it is starting to get very difficult to get around the room to serve others and prepare food and drinks. There’s plenty of room elsewhere in the hall or outside to chat so your cooperation is much appreciated.
• Again as always, the library will be open for members to access some fantastic books, DVD’s and videos. It’s located downstairs and please see Steve Green for bookings.
• Committee members are on hand to verify any juvenile fish bred by members for the annual breeding competition. Just bring in the completed entry form, at least three of the juvenile fish species and then once it’s verified, why not place them on the raffle table so another member can enjoy your wonderful fish @
• PCS stubby holders are available - $10 each, please see scottyhooton to purchase.
Hope to see you there

My first meeting last night. Thanks for making me feel so welcome. It was good to catch up with Bowdy again and meet some new crew. Thanks for the efforts of the organisers and all involved! : )
Oliver, what can I say.... Your a legend! Thanks for your time in answering my illness questions. I really really appreciate it mate! I'm definitely going to download the presentation when its up (it may be up already?) and go through it again and hit the google search and wiki to swat up. With Discus I'd be mad not to : )
Thanks again guys,
Cheers,
Nigel
