hi 

this fish came with the 6 foot tank purchase recently.

I narrowed it to Synodontis (upside down cat fish), but I am not sure.

it mostly hangs around the filter intake, when it comes out for feed fights with 7 inch Venustus.

I am worried if its too aggressive fish for the African cichlid tank.

It is a Synodontis, possibly robbianus. It wont harm your cichlids.

may need to find it a hiding spots.

hiding behind the filter intake tube could stress it out.
