you'll find that most ponds find their own balance of fish versus plants... more fish plants grow more - less fish plants dont reproduce as much.....

Very beginning of season first beginning to warm drop a few in.
Around this time of year drop a few more in.
And that's it.
Usually if you wait till it visually looks like it needs it, they can struggle to bounce back if you don't give them exactly what their deficient in.
And if you don't select a complete balanced fertilizer then you'll get nutrient block out, which is when there's to much of one type of nutrient that inhibits the uptake of another needed nutrient.
Slow release balanced blocks are ideal.

Its not dull its Just the Canna's have lost some of their colour. Might just be an end of summer thing, I dunno. Going to add some fert tablets or maybe the aquatic osmocote, see if that picks things up again.

Cannas operate on a big rhizome, to get the best out of them you usually cut the flowering spike out [ right down low ] and reap the benefits of the new. The old spike has done its thing and it's all down hill from there. Looks fantastic mate good job.
