Been keeping cichlids for a little while now? Mastered the Malawi cichilds, bred the Red Empress, grown up a massive colony of Electric Yellows? You might be feeling a little bored with mouthbrooders and looking for a challenge; something a little different that will test your skills in fish husbandry and make you stand out from all the other fishkeepers?
If so then the next PCS meeting is one you shouldn’t miss!
Poncho/Brett will be delivering a presentation on:
The Lamprologines of Lake Tanganyika.
Some members of this community would have you believe that Tanganyikan cichlids are dull, boring, grey/silver fishes with no personality. Let Brett set the record straight as he goes over some examples and experiences of fish that he has kept and bred from this amazing tribe of fishes – the most diverse tribe of cichlids in the lake.
And if that’s not enough, attendees will also be treated to:
- Cam’s sausage turning prowess in the PCS kitchen – cool drinks also available
- The PCS library, with some of the best fish literature available for loan to members
- The cichlid and catfish PCS show table, where you can participate and/or view some of the prized fish of fellow members. Every entrant wins a prize!
- Some fresh PCS merchandise items up for sale
- And of course the Sponsors raffle table, where you can win some fantastic prizes
All welcome. Hope to see you all there – doors open 7:30pm & meeting starts 8pm May 6th Rotary Hall Sandgate St South Perth.
